Dave Henry was appointed to fill a vacant
position in 1999 and has served on the board ever since and currently acts as Board President. He's been involved in the Fair
since 1984 as a buyer at the Junior Livestock Auction to represent his family
business, Roseville Meat Company. Dave has a history of involvement at the
fairgrounds from selling food and beer at the raceway and during the fair for
over a decade. He's deeply committed to the fair with a belief that continuing
education of the agriculture and livestock industries is important for children
and families in our community. The Fair is a safe and enjoyable place where
groups experience and celebrate a sense of community.
|Board Vice-President and Race Committee Member.
Katharina Head, currently acting as Board Treasurer, became a yearly Fair attendee
upon moving to Roseville in 1989. In 2000, when she purchased her home across
the street from the Fairgrounds, she immediately joined the Association and
volunteered her time working on several beautification projects on the grounds.
She was elected to the Board in 2005 and served for three years. She was
recently re-appointed to serve again. Katharina has a background in finance and
has also started up and run several small businesses. While working at Hewlett-Packard as a Financial Analyst she also acted as Event Coordinator for their
annual company picnics attended by up to 6000 people.
|Bob Kennedy is a longtime resident of
Roseville and voted to the Board of Directors in January 2008. Bob's been very
active with the association with his wife, Patty, serving as past-director and
past-president to the board, for several decades. He knows the rich history of
the fair having been involved in various capacities as well as volunteering
countless hours. Bob enjoys the scholarship pageants and commercial vendors
during the fair. On Saturday nights, he's found at the All American Speedway
where he reflects back to the 1990s when he was an Enduro racer. Professionally,
Bob is owner of Kennedy and Wagner Locksmiths.
|Wayne Vineyard has been a member of the Board
of Directors since 1974. His main
interest is the Livestock Exhibits and is the Chairman of the Junior Livestock
Sale Committee. Through the fair the 4-H
and FFA members have an opportunity to showcase their projects and sell their
market animals. Wayne started his
relationship with the fair when he was a 4-H member. Wayne is very involved in
the Agriculture Community in the County, serving on the Boards of the Placer
County Farm Bureau, Placer County Farm Supply and is Chair of the County
Agricultural Commission. He has been a 4-H leader for 56 years. He is a full
time farmer north of Lincoln raising Beef Cattle and growing Rice. His wife Barbara is also involved in the
Fair industry, serving as a judge of still exhibits at many County and District
Fairs and the California State Fair. Our
fair is important to acquaint fair goers with the opportunity to see
Agriculture in action.
