Biographies
Wayne Vineyard
|
Wayne Vineyard has been a member of the Board
of Directors since 1974. His main
interest is the Livestock Exhibits and is the Chairman of the Junior Livestock
Sale Committee. Through the fair the 4-H
and FFA members have an opportunity to showcase their projects and sell their
market animals. Wayne started his
relationship with the fair when he was a 4-H member. Wayne is very involved in
the Agriculture Community in the County, serving on the Boards of the Placer
County Farm Bureau, Placer County Farm Supply and is Chair of the County
Agricultural Commission. He has been a 4-H leader for 56 years. He is a full
time farmer north of Lincoln raising Beef Cattle and growing Rice. His wife Barbara is also involved in the
Fair industry, serving as a judge of still exhibits at many County and District
Fairs and the California State Fair. Our
fair is important to acquaint fair goers with the opportunity to see
Agriculture in action. |
David Henry
|
Dave Henry was appointed to fill a vacant
position in 1999 and has served on the board ever since and currently acts as
Treasurer and an Executive Committee member. He's been involved in the Fair
since 1984 as a buyer at the Junior Livestock Auction to represent his family
business, Roseville Meat Company. Dave has a history of involvement at the
fairgrounds from selling food and beer at the raceway and during the fair for
over a decade. He's deeply committed to the fair with a belief that continuing
education of the agriculture and livestock industries is important for children
and families in our community. The Fair is a safe and enjoyable place where
groups experience and celebrate a sense of community. |
