The 2017 Placer County Fair will be June 22-25

Evacuation Center now CLOSED

During the Evacuation Warning, Placer County Fairgrounds is no longer providing shelter to evacuees from the Oroville Dam Emergency Spillway Incident. The closest open site is at Cal Expo.
Thank you to all of the hundreds of generous members of our community that donated necessary items to the evacuees.  It was heartwarming and inspiring.
Thank you to the Salvation Army for (among other things) feeding the evacuees and collecting and disseminating the donated items.  Also thank you to the County of Placer employees involved in providing for a very well organized and managed job of serving our evacuees, and the American Red Cross for cots and other supplies.
A very special thanks to Placer County Fairgrounds Maintenance Supervisor Jodi Gillespie who worked almost straight through from Sunday night through Wednesday afternoon in service to our evacuees.  Job well done by all.
